Jacqueline Nakamura, MA, RCC

Hello! I’m Jacqueline, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC # 16650) in British Columbia, Canada. My counselling practice is centred on helping you live your most authentic, value-driven life without stress or anxiety impeding on you mental, emotional or physical health.
In clinical practice I support youth and adults navigate stress and develop coping strategies to reduce the impacts of stress on well-being. Our current cultural environment is deeply influenced by factors like social media, harmful substances, fast-paced lifestyles, and burnout, all of which can negatively impact our mental, emotional, and physical well-being. My passion centres on preventing/reducing the impacts of stress or emotional pain on one’s overall well-being so you can sustain a healthy, value-driven life.
Additionally, over the years of working in the non-profit sector for mental health and substance use, I also hold a passion for supporting individuals undergoing concerns with substance use whether their own, or being affected by a loved one’s substance use.
My work experience includes over a decade working with youth and adults in various roles in community, school, and hospital settings.
