“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.”Lewis Carroll- Alice in Wonderland

Hello!

As a registered therapist, my aim is to help youth & adults cope with life stresses to live a healthy, sustainable, and intentional life.

My path into the field of counselling began when I took some time after graduating with my undergrad degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and I started to volunteer at a local children’s hospital. This experience led me to Child Life – a role that supports children, youth and families receiving hospital care. Working with patients undergoing some of the most challenging health concerns – from terminal cancer, emergency surgeries, to anxiety, stress, and fears of hospital interventions – became the turning point that led me to expand my Psychology degree to the specialization of Counselling Psychology. This specialization enabled me to further support individuals in managing stress and anxiety beyond the hospital setting. I pursued a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University, where I gained some of the most valuable experience working with youth and adults navigate extreme struggles, including trauma, substance use, burnout, and coping with stress and emotional pain.

There are a lot of stressors out in the world whether it is related to work, home-life, parenting, finances, the geo-political climate, past experiences, or just feeling stuck. My approach is to hear your experience and to help you cope in ways that will suit your needs.
